Last week, you guys loved my round up of my favorite upholstered ottomans - so this week I’ve rounded up the best benches! Like ottomans, benches can serve so many purposes around the house. I love seeing them in front of fireplaces, in an entryway, or at the end of a bed. Benches also make fantastic flex setting for dining spaces - perfect for little ones or additional guests over holidays.
A few things to consider when selecting a bench for your space:
consider the location - if you’re placing a bench in front of a window, make sure it sits low enough to not block the view
select quality materials - benches are relatively inexpensive furniture pieces, but you’ll want it to be made of solid wood, quality woven wicker or a metal frame for sturdiness and longevity
measure twice, order once - benches come in a wide range of sizes, varying from vary narrow to extra long - tape out the measurements of the bench you’re looking at to ensure it fits in your space, with room to walk by
